Costs

There are three cost items for each Cub Scout.

The first item is annual dues of $25.00 per year.

The second item is that each boy must have a Cub Scout uniform shirt, which costs about $21-23 (Wolf and Bear Scouts wear blue shirts, Webelos Scouts may wear tan shirts with blue epaulets). Patches usually worn on the Cub Scout uniform are the Green Mountain Council shoulder patch, the Pack numerals 714, and Den number patch (optional). The patches range in price from $.70 to $2 each.

The third item is the Cub Scout Book (Wolf, Bear, or Webelos) which costs about $5-6, usually paid for by the pack.

The annual dues cover:

  2. An official Pine Wood Derby car kit.
  3. All badges, medals and other awards earned by the boy.
  4. Free dinner for each Cub Scout at the Blue and Gold Dinner Banquet.

  6. Required dues per boy to the national Boy Scouts of America for administrative and insurance expenses.
